El enclave costero de El Charco Azul acoge los días 28, 29 y 30 de agosto el primer Fotosub Charco Azul, “un evento deportivo de gran trascendencia en la promoción turística de la localidad, que ha sido organizada por el Ayuntamiento de San Andrés y Sauces y en la que se darán cita algunos de los mejores apneistas y fotógrafos del panorama regional”, señala en un comunicado. “Bajo la dirección del prestigioso fotógrafo submarino Enrique Faber, divulgador de la riqueza de los fondos marinos de la islas, a lo largo de tres intensos días se desarrollarán un conjunto de actividades subacuáticas en las piscinas de El Charco Azul y Puerto Espíndola”, destaca.

Con este certamen conseguimos ofrecer al municipio, a la comarca y a todos los aficionados al submarinismo de la Isla, un festival deportivo y lúdico que al mismo tiempo logra lo que desde el Ayuntamiento nos hemos marcado como objetivo prioritario: la dinamización turística del litoral de San Andrés y Sauces y el disfrute de los vecinos y los visitantes, acercándoles a la práctica del submarinismo, la apnea y la fotografía submarina.

Las piscinas naturales del Charco Azul, obtuvieron el pasado año el galardón Ecoplayas, poniendo en valor este atractivo turístico del municipio, una de las zonas de ocio y esparcimiento costeras más importantes del norte palmero y destacado como lugar de interés dentro de las guías turísticas y recibiendo la visita de gran número de personas, especialmente en períodos estivales.

El fomento del deporte estará presente en Fotosub Charco Azul con el desarrollo previo de un curso de submarinismo así como un Master Class de Apnea y Master Class de Fotografía Submarina en Apnea, actividades que serán impartidas por instructores profesionales, como el actual campeón de España Juan Carballo y el subcampeón de España Isidro Felipe.

El plato fuerte del Fotosub Charco Azul llegará los días 29 y 30 de agosto, coincidiendo con el inicio de las fiestas patronales del municipio. El día 29 tendrá lugar la presentación del Open de Fotografía en Apnea Cazafotosub, campeonato a disputar en el Varadero y Puerto Espíndola, donde la misión de los participantes será captar el mayor número de especies diferentes posibles y a la que han confirmado su asistencia profesionales de reconocido prestigio. Ese mismo día y en horario nocturno, llegará el Open de Fotografía Submarina Artística y Creativa, prueba que tendrá lugar en las piscinas naturales de El Charco Azul y en la que el público podrá observar el trabajo de fotógrafos y modelos, continuando a lo largo de la mañana del sábado 30 de agosto.

El director técnico de la prueba, Enrique Faber, explico que “podemos mostrar la parte más creativa y artística de la fotografía submarina, donde los participantes podrán expresarse libremente con composiciones con gran armonía y creatividad”. En esta cita estarán presentes los mejores apneístas y fotógrafos acuáticos de Canarias, a los que se les medirán varios amateurs y aficionados que ya están reservando su plaza.
